we're playing red square albany on new year's eve! the exact time is tbd, probably 9-ish. this will be a short, upbeat, dance-y set, probably including music don't stop, from the start, you bet i will , failure, double 'a', triple 'x' (nsfw), and some variant of cantaloop/rhythm-carry.

we'll be doing a sound check thursday afternoon/early evening - please stop by and say hi - we'll buy you a beer.

it's a good time of year to do a bit of climbing, any high place will do, old, posh university tower rooftops are particularly nice. you'll need dark clothes, a bottle of excellent whiskey, and a suitably chill companion. settle in to fully appreciate the sky. later, offer a toast to persimmon. (she knows the exits and the red lights. and she has been remastered.)

my friend louise died a couple of weeks ago. it was leukemia. she went bravely, and much more calmly than i'd imagine i would. please think a kind thought for her and her family.

a quick iraq bit: i see 2 options. either we send in a minimum of 150,000 new troops, or we leave. it's really that simple. adding 25,000 or even 50,000 will NOT get us to anything remotely resembling 'victory'. the reality is that it's gotta be at least 150,000, or face facts and pack it in, send the troops home.

it has been a bit crazy here at hba hq south. we kept on hitting the monthly bandwidth limit for our webspace (thanks for listening!) so i moved it all over to a new hosting service, things are not yet fully functional. audio and video content should return in another day or two. if you've tried to email us over the last week or two please resend - we probably didn't get it.

the factory is humming and buzzing - there's a lot of new music afoot, we'll post asap. also, i'm putting the finishing touches on our talkback/in ear monitoring system, which will hopefully get rolled out live very soon. the system will allow christina and i to talk about hot pockets while we perform.

our newest dvd is going to have an alternate soundtrack, which will be our onstage chatter, and will probably consist only of obscure hot pocket and yam references. oh yeah, and yak parts.

lastly, i have a photo exhibit coming together up at red square in albany. more details soon. there will be many photos of the hot bitches from whence we draw our name. you know who you are, if you're up that way, stop on by.
